Membership is by application and is for anyone who shares our common love of boating and has passed our public boating courses, Squadron Boating Course, Boat Smart or equivalent *, and who is interested in advancing the 3 objetives of the organization:
the education of members
participation in civic programs, and
the creation of an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie among fellow members.

* USPS Educational Requirements may be satisfied by:
Succesfully completing any USPS University seminal series
Passing the final examination for any NASBLA approved basic boating education course including Puerto Rico D.R.N.A approved course.
Graduation from:
-U.S Naval Academy -U.S Coast Guard Academy -U.S Merchant Marine Academy, Deck Officer License.
Succesfull completion of the following courses:
-Holders of U.S. Coast Guard 6 Pack Licenses and above. -USCG Aux - Boating Skills & Seamanship or Sailing & Seamanship Courses -American Sailing Assn. - (ASA) Basic Keelboat Sailing Course (Proctored Exam Course only) -US Sailing - Basic Keelboat Certification Course -US Sailing - Keelboat Instructor Course -US Sailing - Small Boat Instructor Course
